The second opening moves farther forward, like the unfinished stride after the cultural festival. It does not rush toward an answer, instead carrying the shifting moods of the club members.

The first ending places Chitanda and Mayaka's softness inside a sleepy glow, like a classroom window that is not quite ready to close after club activities.

Hyouka's score was not released as a standard standalone album at first; it appeared across the limited-edition Blu-ray and DVD bonus CDs. Piano, strings, and chamber colors hold the quiet of Kamiyama High and the pauses before deduction.
